Allegiant MD81 at Los Angeles on Jun 13th 2014, gear door open on landing

An Allegiant Air McDonnell Douglas MD-81, registration N417NV performing flight G4-309 (dep Jun 12th) from Bentonville,AR to Los Angeles,CA (USA), was on approach to San Francisco's runway 24R when upon contacting tower the crew reported they had indication of a gear door had remained open requiring them to stop on the runway. Tower advised that noone was behind them and stopping on the runway would not be a problem. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 24R and stopped on the runway for a maintenance inspection.

The FAA reported the right main gear door malfunction, the damage was unknown.
