Air Canada E190 near Edmonton on Aug 12th 2014, park brake indication activated enroute

An Air Canada Embraer ERJ-190, registration C-FHNL performing flight AC-193 from Ottawa,ON to Edmonton,AB (Canada), was enroute at FL340 about 140nm short of Edmonton when the crew received an ECAM indication "Park Brake not released" and the emergency brakes light illuminated. The crew worked the related checklists but was unable to resolve the problem with intermittent activation of the warnings. The crew declared PAN and prepared for an abnormal landing and briefed passengers and cabin crew. The aircraft landed safely at Edmonton about 34 minutes later and stopped on the runway.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced the park brake pressure switch.
