Air Canada A319 at Bridgetown on Feb 20th 2014, blew both nose wheel tyres during line up

An Air Canada Airbus A319-100, registration C-GITR performing flight AC-1241 from Bridgetown (Barbados) to Toronto,ON (Canada), was taxiing for departure from Bridgetown's runway 09 when during line up both nose gear tyres deflated disabling the aircraft on the runway.

The runway and airport needed to be closed for about two hours until the passengers had disembarked the aircraft onto the runway, the tyres were replaced on the runway and the aircraft was towed to the apron.

A number of flights scheduled to arrive at Bridgetown needed to divert to Saint Lucia (Saint Lucia) as result.

The incident aircraft was able to depart Bridgetown about 4.5 hours after getting disabled and reached Toronto with a delay of 4:50 hours.
