Airwork B733 at Honiara on Jan 26th 2014, gear collapse on landing
An Airwork Boeing 737-300 on behalf of and in Toll Group Livery, registration ZK-TLC performing freight flight PAQ-523 from Brisbane,QL (Australia) to Honiara (Solomon Islands) with 3 crew, landed on Honiara's runway 24 at about 11:30L (00:30Z) when following a safe touchdown the right main gear collapsed during the roll out. The aircraft came to a stop on the runway resting on nose gear, left main gear and right hand engine, then settled on its tail, left main gear and right engine. There were no injuries, the aircraft sustained substantial damage to right main gear and right hand engine.
Airwork confirmed their Boeing 737-300 operated for Toll Group suffered the collapse of the right hand landing gear during roll out in Honiara. The three crew remained uninjured. An investigation has been opened.
