Westjet B738 near Thunder Bay on May 29th 2014, fuel imbalance

A Westjet Boeing 737-700, registration C-FGWJ performing flight WS-235 from Ottawa,ON to Winnipeg,MB (Canada) with 114 people on board, was enroute at FL310 about 150nm east of Thunder Bay,ON (Canada) when the crew detected a fuel imbalance and further noticed that the circuit breaker for the fuel cross feed had tripped, both engines were supplied from the left hand fuel tank. The crew worked the related checklists, requested priority and diverted to Thunder Bay for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported the cross feed actuator was identified faulty. The actuator was replaced.
