Tianjin E145 near Tianjin on Nov 26th 2013, engine fire indication

A Tianjin Airlines Embraer ERJ-145, flight GS-6552 from Tianjin to Hohhot (China), was climbing out of Tianjin about 10 minutes into the flight when the crew received an engine fire indication, shut the engine down and activated the engine fire suppression system. The aircraft returned to Tianjin for a safe landing about 25 minutes after departure. Emergency services found no trace of fire, heat or smoke.

The airline reported the engine fire indication was false.

A replacement ERJ-145 reached Hohhot with a delay of 3.5 hours.
