THY B739 at Istanbul on Jul 28th 2014, bird strike

A THY Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-900, registration TC-JYB performing flight TK-673 from Istanbul (Turkey) to Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), was in the initial climb out of Istanbul when the aircraft flew through a flock of birds and received a number of bird strikes. The crew levelled off at 5000 feet and returned to Istanbul for a safe landing about 30 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-900 registration TC-JYH reached Kilimanjaro with a delay of 2:15 hours.
