SunExpress B738 near Antalya on Aug 10th 2014, low fuel indications
A SunExpress Boeing 737-800, registration TC-SBR performing flight XQ-7290 from Antalya to Izmir (Turkey), was climbing out of Antalya when the crew stopped the climb at FL250 due to indications of less fuel than estimated on board. The crew subsequently decided to return to Antalya for a safe landing about 28 minutes after departure.
A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration TC-SNF reached Izmir with a delay of 2.5 hours.
Passengers reported they were not told about the return or the reason for the return to Antalya until after landing, then they were told the aircraft was low on fuel.
