Malta A320 at Malta on Mar 21st 2014, navigation problem
An Air Malta Airbus A320-200, registration 9H-AEN performing flight KM-0624 from Malta (Malta) to Milan Linate (Italy), stopped the climb out of Malta's Luqa Airport at 5000 feet reporting a problem with the navigation systems and returned to Luqa for a safe landing about 15 minutes after departure.
Maintenance replaced the navigation system and the aircraft departed again about 2 hours after landing, however needed to stop the climb again at 5000 feet reporting the same problem and returned to Luqa a second time about 20 minutes after second departure.
A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration 9H-AEL reached Milan with a delay of 5.5 hours.
