Hawk DH8A near Terrace on Aug 30th 2014, engine shut down in flight
A Hawk Aviation de Havilland Dash 8-100 on behalf of Central Mountain Air, registration C-FDNG performing flight 9M-1407 from Prince Rupert,BC to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 14 people, was enroute when the crew reported an engine (PW120) oil pressure problem and decided to divert to Terrace,BC (Canada) subsequently advising they had shut down the engine. The aircraft landed safely in Terrace about 51 minutes after reporting the oil pressure problem and 21 minutes after the engine had been shut down.
The Canadian TSB reported the oil cooler had developed a leak and was replaced.
