Delta B752 near Tokyo on Jan 9th 2014, hydraulic failure

A Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N545US performing flight DL-297 from Saipan (USA) to Tokyo Narita (Japan) with 166 people on board, was enroute over the Pacific Ocean about 200nm out of Tokyo when the left hand hydraulic system failed. The aircraft continued to Tokyo for a safe landing on runway 34L about 40 minutes later.

Japan's Ministry of Transport reported the runway was closed for about 7 minutes due to the emergency landing.
