Brussels RJ1H near Oostende on Jul 13th 2014, engine shut down in flight

A Brussels Airlines Avro RJ-100, registration OO-DWI performing flight SN-2178 from Manchester,EN (UK) to Brussels (Belgium), was descending towards Brussels, several aircraft descending towards Brussels reporting being unable to continue towards Brussels due to a squall line, when the crew declared emergency after an engine (LF507) had been shut down. The aircraft diverted to Oostende (Belgium) for a safe landing about 40 minutes later.

The airline reported that due to technical problem the captain had to shut down one engine, the aircraft couldn't land in Brussels with just three engines due to the thunderstorms there and therefore diverted to Oostende.
