Austrian DH8D near Lyon on Nov 12th 2014, hydraulic failure

An Austrian Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration OE-LGN performing flight OS-407 from Vienna (Austria) to Lyon (France), was descending towards Lyon when the aircraft suffered a hydraulic failure. The aircraft entered a hold to work the checklists and prepare for the landing without landing flaps. The aircraft landed safey at a higher than normal speed in Lyon.

The return flight OS-408 was cancelled. The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Lyon two days later.

A passenger reported the captain announced they had a hydraulic failure. There was no movement of flaps at all for the landing in Lyon. The aircraft touched down at high speed.
