Austrian B763 near Minsk on Aug 6th 2014, anti-ice problems

An Austrian Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration OE-LAZ performing flight OS-63 from Vienna (Austria) to Beijing (China), was enroute at FL310 about 90nm northeast of Minsk (Belarus) when the crew decided to return to Vienna due to problems with an anti-ice system of the aircraft. The aircraft descended to FL260 for the return and landed safely back on Vienna runway 29 about 90 minutes after turning around.

The airline reported the crew consulted with maintenance prior to the decision to return.

The rotation OS-63/OS-64 was cancelled.
