American B763 near Dublin on Jul 3rd 2014, bleed valve problem twice
An American Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N358AA performing flight AA-55 from Manchester,EN (UK) to Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA) with 187 people on board, was climbing out of Manchester when the crew stopped the climb at FL260 reporting they had a bleed valve problem forcing them to shut one of the air conditioning systems down. They still were pressurized but were down to one air conditioning system only. The crew decided to divert to Dublin where the aircraft landed safely on runway 28 about 30 minutes later, emergency services were on standby due to overweight landing.
The aircraft was repaired and departed again after about 4.5 hours on the ground, but levelled off again at FL120 on departure from Dublin, troubleshooting an issue. The crew subsequently reported they had the same issue as before and were down to one air conditioning system, they needed emergency services again due to an overweight landing. The aircraft landed safely a second time on Dublin's runway 28 about 30 minutes after departure.
