Baltic DH8D at Riga on Jul 3rd 2014, hydraulic failure

An Air Baltic de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration YL-BAJ performing flight BT-434 from Vienna (Austria) to Riga (Latvia), was on approach to Riga when the crew declared PAN reporting a hydraulic failure that would disable the aircraft on the runway. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Riga's runway 18 about 15 minutes later, stopped on the runway and was towed to the apron.

The runway was closed for about 15 minutes as result.

The occurrence aircraft was able to resume service the following morning about 11 hours after landing.
