Team Overview

Flight Delivery Team is responsible for delivering one of the leading Flight Management product suite on the market which consist of: Flight Plan Manager, eFlight Manager, Flight Explorer  and OpsComm, used by many leading airlines all around the world. The team is working on product deployment and upgrades, user training of a solution which uses a modern cloud technology and architecture, as well as legacy solutions.  The Team also provides a support for Software Engineering and Customer Care teams in troubleshooting customer issues.

Product Overview

Flight Plan Manager is a comprehensive flight planning solution that is used by 30+ customers including some of the largest airlines in the world. The product combines complete data support services — navigational data, NOTAMS, weather, airport suitability and airspace restrictions — with real-time alerts. The 4-D cost optimization functionality, route, altitude, speed and time are analyzed to create an optimal flight path that accounts for fuel costs, CO2 emissions and delays. Flight Plan Manager is complemented by EFB dedicated product – eFM and flight watch/flight monitoring products – Flight Explorer. Communication between Operators and their flying crews is supported by Ops Comm.

Your Role & Main Responsibilities

The Flight Services Team teams looking for a Senior Business Analyst for Flight Plan Manager.

Main responsibilities

  • Will be involved in end-to-end solution implementation life cycle as a Business Subject Matter Expert (BSME) starting from Interactive Pilot Assessment (IPA) through cutover implementation and transition to customer care.
  • Will develop a thorough understanding of the application’s user interface, with focus on functional business solution. Understanding of the technical process is required, in order to implement and install Flight Planning Suite and help in solution adoption and integration into customer’s business processes.
  • Will attend onsite customer meetings as a Business Subject Matter Expert (BSME) and participate in Interactive Pilot Assessment (IPA) meetings and understand customer's business processes.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with project managers, account managers, implementation and development resources to meet customer expectations regarding solution implementation, issue resolution during solution adoption phase, and also resolution of maintenance issues / service requests post production cutover.
  • Will lead the data gathering & loading process prior to solution implementation phase.
  • Will perform data validation checks in the context of Flight Planning solution at all stages of solution implementation and delivery
  • Will help with process improvements and initiatives that will help improving Flight Management solutions product
  • Will identify the best practices adopted by customers during the interactions and communicate the same to Solution Management teams to enhance relevant solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, to serve as leader conduit between developers, architects, designers and with external and internal customers
  • Demonstrates effective teamwork skills.
  • Operates under general direction with minimal oversight
  • Ensures that approved methods, processes, and tools are consistently used.

Necessary skills & requirements

  • Minimum 5 years Airline Operations experience.
  • FAA Dispatchers License or equivalent a plus
  • Experience with CAE Flight Plan Manager a plus
  • Master’s degree or equivalent technical experience strongly desired.
  • Proven Analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, or equivalent.
  • Proficient English written and oral communication skills.  
  • Must be willing to travel 10-50% of the time
